Anastasia T.

My name is Anastasia,

I was born in the Odessa region in Kotovka. When I was 4 years old my father died. When I was 5 years old I was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. My mom was raising me, my older brother and 2 sisters on her own so that it was really hard for her to save enough money for my treatment. In September 2007, I went to the orphanage #7 where I’m still studying. In 2010 our family experienced a tragedy: my brother died and my sister ended up in prison. This was a big hit for us, which was followed by the decline of my mother’s health. I am very thankful to the head of the orphanage school, Olga, for her help and support. I’ve learned many things at school. I am sad to leave the school after 11 years of studying there because this place became my second home. Here I met many good people whom I really don’t want to lose. I enjoy drawing, cross stitching, knitting, and also cooking. I have an active social life and I even participate in school performances and competitions. Every year I take part in the city festival for children with special needs. I would like to enter the trade school so that I can get a good education and hopefully one day become a manicurist. I will study there every working day.

Sincerely yours,

Anastasia  T.
