Vladimir S.

My name is Vladimir S.  I am in 9th grade in orphanage #5 in Odessa.  I am 15 years old.  I live in Odessa with my mom and grandma.  My father left our family when I was little. In spite of the difficulties in my family, I still try to study well and I understand that I can’t expect help from anyone.  After I finish 9th grade, I wish for my childhood dream to come true:  to enter the construction trade school and learn the electrician profession.  I understand that after school my life will change and that it is important to have good and faithful friends around me.  I see these kinds of friends in the program “Universal Aid for Children”.  I know the kids in this organization and I am friends with them.  A little about me:  I am happy, kind, creative, and friendly.  I help my friends and love sports.  I was left without my father at a young age.  We live on my grandma’s pension and my mom’s salary.  I would really like to finish my studies, find work, and start my own family in a different way than I grew up without a father.  I go to school in the orphanage because my mom was gone for a long time and then I was taken to a shelter.  Later I was sent to the orphanage because my mom is a single mom.  Also I have heard a lot about this program.  I am really glad that there are such people like Clara and the sponsors.  I am thankful to no end to all the people who have helped or will help orphan students.  I hope that in three months I will also be in your program.   I will get my education and I will work.
